Dec 19, 2025"Saw the reviews and initially was a bit hesitant but the staff were amazing and friendly. Very helpful with the selections of fish and what was on display looked fresh and home made stuff actually looked home made. The coral trout was actually coral trout, years of fishing I have seen a lot of places fake it but this was just beautiful. Calamari was home breaded and the chips were good! Home made pork spring rolls were meaty and a nice change to the mass produced. All in all everything was great quality and all four of us agreed that the fish was some of the best we’ve had in a long time. Would go back!"

Dec 04, 2025"One of the best seafood cafés in Wynnum. The staff are kind and friendly, and the place is clean with really nice vibes. You can sit outside and enjoy the beach view with the breeze, which I love. The food is really nice and very affordable. I had the calamari combo for $17 and had nothing to complain about. Definitely a great spot to relax and eat by the sea."

I was more than impressed with the excellent customer service that was provided during our time and the seafood that we ordered was thoroughly enjoyable. The Island View Cafes menu is highly visible when you enter this business making the choice of meals available to choose from and order very easy The food presentation in their display area is fresh and there is a more than adequate selection of seafood to select from. I would also recommend that you try one of their beautifully presented hamburgers The Island View Cafe is open for breakfast,lunch and dinner, you can even enjoy brunch after enjoying a walk along the Wynnum foreshore. I thoroughly enjoyed my cup of coffee This is a great cafe for large groups and tourists as there is seating available inside and outside this business. The layout of the cafe allows people to be comfortable, even during the busy periods. There is more than enough room for people with disabilities with easy access to the cafe being located on the ground floor level. After we had finished our meal and were leaving the Island View Cafe we ordered one of their many flavours of ice creams We will definitely be back to enjoy another great meal Inext time we visit this beautiful part of Wynnum."
